The Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan has prepared a draft resolution for the Government regarding the project of a Presidential Decree on the commemorative medal marking the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, as reported by Bizmedia.kz.

The explanatory note to the draft resolution of the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Zhaksylikov R., addressed to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Bektenov O., states that the basis for adopting the draft resolution includes: the decision to establish a unified jubilee medal "80 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" by the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States dated September 9, 2024, as well as the resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated December 31, 2024, No. 1147.

Moreover, no additional costs from the republican budget will be required for the implementation of this project. The adoption of the project will not lead to socio-economic or legal consequences. Rules for awarding the jubilee medal "80 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945" will also be established.

The project has been developed to honor the veterans of the Great Patriotic War in Kazakhstan.
