Kazakhstan's police have dismantled illegal migration channels.

As noted by Polisia.kz, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan is actively working to prevent the infiltration of criminal elements and terrorist groups into the country.

Units combating organized crime have apprehended several criminal groups involved in illegal migration. In the Turkestan and Zhambyl regions, three groups have been identified that organized the illegal migration of foreigners through document forgery. In the West Kazakhstan and North Kazakhstan regions, investigations are underway regarding attempts by Kazakhs to illegally transport foreigners to neighboring countries, including through hard-to-reach border areas.

In the Kyzylorda region, a group providing "brokerage" services for the production of fake certificates and ensuring the illegal stay of migrants in Kazakhstan was apprehended in cooperation with the Border Service of the National Security Committee.

“In connection with these facts, more than 20 individuals have been held criminally liable. They face up to 7 years of imprisonment with asset confiscation. Efforts to eliminate channels of illegal migration are ongoing,” reported Kuandyk Alpyss, a representative of the Department for Combating Organized Crime of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
