During a briefing at the government, Minister Shakkaliev admitted that the increase in exchange rate differences cannot be denied. The changes in the exchange rate have an impact on imported goods present in our market. While price fluctuations may occur, there are socially significant products, and a sharp change in their prices always triggers price volatility, especially seasonally. The Ministry of Trade is working in this direction together with the Ministry of Agriculture.
As for other goods, such as household chemicals, electrical appliances, or, for instance, the iPhone, the minister stated that their prices depend on demand, which can create a frenzy.
The minister added that price changes will indeed occur, and there is nothing to conceal about it. However, the extent of these changes in cost depends on numerous factors: supply chains, logistics, storage conditions, procurement prices, and so on.
