The President of Kazakhstan has received the tragic news of the death of passengers and crew members aboard the Azerbaijan Airlines plane that crashed in the Mangistau region with deep regret.
“Sharing in the sorrow of this irreplaceable loss, I express my heartfelt condolences to you, the relatives and loved ones of the deceased, as well as to the entire people of Azerbaijan. By my instruction, the Government of Kazakhstan has established a state commission that is taking necessary measures as part of the rescue operation and will also provide further support to the Azerbaijani side,” the telegram states.
Let us recall that on December 25, an Embraer EMB 190 aircraft belonging to Azerbaijan Airlines crashed near the airport in the city of Aktau. According to the latest information presented at a briefing by the airline AZAL, 32 people survived the disaster.
