Kazakhstan has launched a unified database for road construction materials and technologies.

The pilot project is coordinated by JSC "Kazakhstan Road Research Institute." Participants in the testing include "KazdorNII," "KazAvtoZhol," the "National Center for Quality of Road Assets," as well as the akimats of regions, cities of republican significance, and the capital.

Additionally, suppliers and manufacturers of road construction materials, products, structures, and new technologies may participate in the project on a voluntary basis.

The aim of the project is to strengthen the requirements for materials and innovative technologies used on highways, as well as to ensure efficiency in the selection of suppliers and manufacturers of road construction materials and new technologies.

Within the framework of the project, "KazAvtoZhol" and the NCCQA will use materials, products, and structures included in the "Unified Database of Road Construction Materials and New Technologies" during the specified period, according to their status and area of application. The information system "Unified Database of Road Construction Materials and New Technologies" is a proprietary development by scientists and IT specialists of the research institute. The creation of this digital product began at the request of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the end of 2022.
