The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that after the crash of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane, 28 out of 67 people, including crew members, survived, among them two children.

To evacuate the victims, 23 ambulances arrived at the crash site. The Ministry of Health stated that the survivors from the aviation disaster are in varying degrees of severity. All of them have been taken to hospitals in the Mangistau region, where they are receiving all necessary medical assistance.

The press service of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan commented on the aviation disaster, stating that the circumstances are being clarified and a special investigation will be conducted. It is known that the crew issued an SOS signal over the Caspian Sea. Experts suggest that a bird strike may have caused the crash.
