“At this moment in the city of Petropavlovsk, on Satpayev Street, firefighters are extinguishing a blaze at one of the stadiums. Rescuers are operating at an elevated emergency level. The details of the incident are being confirmed,” reported the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Later, the fire was contained by the efforts of the Ministry of Emergency Situations personnel. It has been clarified that the blaze originated in an attached garage, after which the flames spread to a covered hangar-type arena. The exact area of the fire is currently being determined.
No information regarding injuries from the incident has been received by emergency services (112). Rescuers continue to work towards the complete elimination of the fire's aftermath.
