In East Kazakhstan, a former orphanage resident has successfully regained ownership of a house and land.

The Shemonaiha District Prosecutor's Office identified a violation of the rights of a graduate from an orphanage, A.V.O., during a social media monitoring initiative. It was discovered that during his time in the orphanage, the district akimat unlawfully transferred his property and land in Shemonaiha to third parties.

After reviewing the documents, the prosecutors assisted A.V.O. in preparing and filing a lawsuit. The specialized inter-district court for administrative disputes in the East Kazakhstan region upheld the lawsuit, declaring the title documents for the disputed property invalid.

The actions taken restored justice and protected the rights of the orphanage graduate.
