The animated film "The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim" has received a digital release date following box office earnings of $15.4 million. Directed by Kenji Kamiyama, the story reimagines the tale of Helm Hammerhand, the King of Rohan, who defended his kingdom from the Dunlendings 183 years prior to the events of Peter Jackson's trilogy, as reported by Tengri Life.

Less than two weeks after the premiere of the animated film "The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim," the digital release date has been announced. According to Warner Bros., the film will be available for rent or purchase on digital platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and others starting December 27.
In the digital release, viewers will find special features, including: "Return to Helm's Deep: The Story Becomes Legend," "Middle-earth and Anime: A Creative Marriage," and "Gera: A New Hero of Middle-earth."
The anime's plot revolves around the conflict between the Rohirrim and the Dunlendings. Wulf, leading the Dunlending army, nearly secures victory, but the last bastion of Rohan – the fortress of Hornburg – becomes their final hope.
According to media reports, the anime will also feature the voice of Christopher Lee, who reprises his role as Saruman thanks to archival recordings.
