He shared the news on his social media accounts, specifically posting an announcement on his Instagram page.

According to media reports, Trey Edward Shults will be directing the film. Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan will star in the leading roles. The theatrical release is expected on May 16, 2025.
It should be noted that Hurry Up Tomorrow is The Weeknd's sixth studio album, set to be released in late January 2025. The title translates literally to "Hurry Up Tomorrow."
