Millions of jobs are at risk due to artificial intelligence.

By 2027, Europe is expected to lose 83 million jobs, with the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence being the primary cause of these changes, according to Tengri Life citing Euronews.

The publication discusses this, referencing a forecast from the World Economic Forum.

Additionally, it is noted that by 2030, 94 million European workers will need retraining due to the rise of automation.

It is explained that certain sectors are at the greatest risk from the development of artificial intelligence: hospitality and food services (94 percent), arts (80 percent), wholesale and retail trade (68 percent), construction (58 percent), as well as transportation and logistics (50 percent).

"By 2030, 21 million people may need to change professions, researchers conclude, suggesting that most of these individuals do not have higher education," the material states.

At the same time, according to the World Economic Forum, a significant increase in jobs in other areas is also expected in the coming years: approximately 69 million new vacancies will arise.

However, in Europe, these jobs are likely to be distributed unevenly. Up to 40 percent of Europeans may find themselves in regions with a shrinking labor market. The study suggests promoting remote work to keep these regions afloat.

"Currently, labor productivity in Europe is concentrated in a few labor markets, such as Amsterdam, Copenhagen, London, Madrid, Munich, and Paris," the material indicates.

These cities account for only 20 percent of Europe's population, yet they contributed to 43 percent of Europe's GDP growth, 35 percent of net job growth, and 40 percent of population growth from 2007 to 2018, the study explains.

On the other hand, Eastern and Southern Europe has 438 regions with a shrinking labor market, home to 30 percent of the population and characterized by "a declining workforce, an aging population, and lower education levels."
