In particular, Variety reported when the filming of the new project will begin:

In the comments, many are finding it hard to believe that the adaptation will actually happen.
"So, they really started making it?", "But I still don't care", "We need something about the Marauders or the founders of the houses, not another story about Harry Potter," people noted in the comments.
Recall that earlier Warner Bros. Discovery officially confirmed the development of a series set in the 'Harry Potter' universe. It was reported that the project will be shown on HBO Max. Shortly after, news surfaced that casting for the main roles (Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley) in the new series had begun. It is still unknown when the project will premiere. According to Warner Bros. Discovery, the Harry Potter series is set to debut on the Max streaming service in 2026.
Some fans have speculated that there will be no less than seven seasons.
By the way, the Harry Potter films are a series of eight movies based on the books by J.K. Rowling, chronicling the young wizard's battle against the Dark Lord Voldemort. The series was released from 2001 to 2011 and became one of the most successful in cinema history.
