A total of 400 children were invited to the celebration, including orphans, children without parental care, those from low-income and large families, children with special educational needs, as well as gifted children who have excelled in academics, sports, and the arts.

The guests of the event were greeted on behalf of the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, by the akim of Almaty, Yerbolat Dosaev.

The festive atmosphere was set by fairy-tale characters – Olaf and the New Year’s Reindeer. Together with the children, they embarked on an exciting adventure, overcoming quests and solving riddles. The main task was to find magical keys for a treasure chest filled with secrets. After unraveling all the mysteries and opening the chest, the children were treated to a magical performance of "The Nutcracker" by the artists of the Kazakh National Opera and Ballet Theater named after Abay, which became the highlight of the celebration.

"Today we became part of a fairy tale. This mood was created by the animators and the contests with interesting tasks. I especially enjoyed searching for the keys that were supposed to open the magical chest. To open it and find out what was inside, we had to unite and quickly solve the riddles. It was an exciting game; some tasks were challenging, but together with the other kids, we managed to solve them. This day left me with unforgettable impressions," shared Talgyn Kudusova, a student from boarding school No. 17.

The celebration featured traditional contests from Ayaz Ata and Akshakar, and to conclude, popular artist SADRADDIN performed a New Year composition titled "Song" for the children.

"I felt like I had stepped into a fairy tale; there was a magical atmosphere everywhere! A lot of exciting games and competitions requiring speed, wit, and courage were prepared for us. I particularly remember a round where we had to sing a song to wake up a magical character and make him dance. It was a bit challenging, but at the same time, it was fun. I had a great time and even felt like a heroine in a fairy tale," noted Arai Baibasarova, a student from special boarding school No. 6.
