On the first day of spring, on Gratitude Day, the people of Kazakhstan share warm words of appreciation for their loved ones and life lessons. March 1st marks Gratitude Day in Kazakhstan – a celebration aimed at strengthening warm and positive relationships among people and nations, reminding us of the value of mutual assistance and respect for one another.
We created a short video for our readers where Kazakhstani citizens shared whom they are grateful to and why.
Expressions of gratitude were voiced by individuals of various professions, ages, and life stories, directed towards family, friends, and even the entire country.
Guldana, a lecturer at one of Almaty's universities, expressed her thanks to her family:
"Dear Kazakhstanis, congratulations on Gratitude Day. May this holiday remind us of the most important and valuable things in our lives. On this beautiful day, I want to express my gratitude to my family for their support, their love, and for simply being there for me," – she said.
Shynar, a kindergarten teacher from Taldykorgan, wished everyone health and prosperity:
"On the first day of spring, I want to sincerely thank you and wish you health and prosperity. I am grateful to my mother for raising me, to my husband, to my older brother, to my siblings, to my close friends, to my colleagues, to my children, and to everyone dear to me. Thank you all!"
Semyon, a correctional educator from Novosibirsk who moved to Kazakhstan three years ago, expressed his gratitude to the Kazakh land and its people. He shared his plans and hopes to become a citizen of Kazakhstan, is learning the Kazakh language, and has found love here.
Astana resident Miрат shared some warm words:
"Who am I grateful to on this wonderful day? I am truly grateful to the whole world, I thank God, first of all, and secondly, my parents, my friends, and my loved ones. This day is beautiful because we can freely express our appreciation to our friends, relatives, and loved ones and receive warmth in return," – he said.
"I thank my family and friends for accepting me as I am," – noted the medical professional, Sofia Olzhasovna.
"Hello everyone! My name is Adele, and I am grateful for having a family, for the opportunity to study and travel abroad," – shared Adele, a bank employee from Almaty.
"Hi, my name is Alim. I am grateful that I can have a great time with my friends and my girlfriend," – shared Alim, a bank employee from Almaty.
"Hello everyone, my name is Ji He, and I am grateful for meeting my significant other," – shared an SMM specialist from Almaty.
"Thank you to my parents and relatives for their love and support at every step. Thank you to my brother for inspiring me and giving me strength to move forward. Thank you to my friends for believing in me and providing motivation. For always being there, no matter the distance," – expressed gratitude Abash Ernur, an international relations manager in Dubai.
