Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was briefed on the criminal situation in the country and the implementation of the principle of "Law and Order" by law enforcement agencies.

The President was informed that as a result of comprehensive measures taken last year, the number of crimes in the country decreased by more than 12,700. In recent years, there has been a significant decline in the level of criminal activities, including particularly dangerous crimes such as murders, robberies, thefts, and burglaries. Additionally, thanks to the introduction of modern investigative methods, the resolution rate for all categories of criminal offenses has improved.

Yerzhan Sadenov reported on the results of efforts to track down criminals. In 2024, the police apprehended 1,949 wanted individuals.

The head of state was updated on the progress of his directives aimed at combating organized crime, cybercrime, and drug-related offenses, as well as preventing violations. In particular, 264 individuals are being held criminally liable for involvement in organized criminal groups. Over the past 12 months, around 7,500 internet resources related to drug distribution have been identified, nearly 22 tons of narcotics have been prevented from entering circulation, and 64 drug laboratories have been dismantled. Additionally, 65 million calls from internet scammers have been blocked, and 48 SIM-box devices used for number substitution have been discovered. More than 2 billion tenge were intercepted from being illegally transferred out of the country by scammers.

The Minister also informed the President about measures to protect the rights of minors, enhance migration control, ensure road safety, and improve the penal enforcement system.

Following the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev issued a series of directives aimed at further enhancing law and order and public safety in the country.
