The agreement will take effect on November 26, 2024. Under this agreement, Air Astana passengers will have access to Etihad Airways flights to cities such as Mumbai, Riyadh, Dammam, Bahrain, Cairo, Doha, Kuwait City, and Muscat. This opens up new travel opportunities to India, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Oman.
The global route network of Etihad Airways will be accessible to Air Astana passengers via connections in Abu Dhabi, with direct flights from Astana launching at the end of October and from Almaty starting on December 5, 2024.

Codeshare agreements allow for the issuance of a single ticket, streamline the check-in process, and facilitate convenient transfers with baggage between airlines. To date, Air Astana has established codeshare agreements with eight airlines worldwide.
