The European aerospace corporation Airbus delivered 766 commercial aircraft to 86 customers worldwide in 2024. This figure represents a 4% increase compared to 2023, when Airbus delivered 735 aircraft, as reported by Interfax-Kazakhstan.
Specifically, last year the company sent 75 narrow-body A220 family aircraft and 602 A320 aircraft to its clients, along with 32 wide-body A330 jets and 57 A350 aircraft.
Airbus's deliveries in 2024 were slightly below the company's own forecasts; however, they remain significantly weaker than the pre-COVID figure of 863 aircraft in 2019.
Airbus's Chief Commercial Officer Christian Scherer stated to reporters that the company hopes to return to pre-COVID delivery levels "in the foreseeable future."
Last year, Airbus received orders for 878 aircraft, bringing the total order backlog to 8,658 units by the end of December.
Airbus will release its financial results for the past year on February 20.
