The Akim of VKO answered a girl's question about whether it's easy to be the "main person in the region."

The girl wrote a letter to the akim, in which she requested a meeting with him.

"My mom told me: 'If the akim doesn’t respond to the letter, don’t be upset; he has a lot of work to do.' But today he came himself, and I also got to know the akim of the city. I am very happy and grateful that he took the time for me," said the schoolgirl.

In response to her question about whether it is easy to be the "main person in the region," Yerbek Kosherbayev stated that every specialist in their position performs an important mission.

"What would any leader do without workers? In a factory, there’s an engineer; in a school, a teacher; in a hospital, a nurse. All these people are key in their own fields, as they sustain the functioning of society," said Yerbek Kosherbayev.

The schoolchildren eagerly shared with the akim about the medals they received, the achievements they made, and what they aspire to accomplish in life.

Interestingly, the children were not only concerned with personal matters. They requested updates to the sports halls and the construction of new sports grounds in the courtyards.

Afterward, Yerbek Kosherbayev played football with the kids.

It is worth noting that Yerbek Kosherbayev has been leading the region since June 16, 2023. Prior to this, he served as the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Kazakhstan to Russia and holds the diplomatic rank of extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador.

Earlier, the akim of the East Kazakhstan region commented on his style of conducting meetings in a raised voice. Journalists asked Yerbek Kosherbayev whether he considers this an abuse of power or a breach of public service ethics.
