American journalists have named the best boxer of 2024.

The American Boxing Writers Association (BWAA) has announced the winners of its awards for the year 2024, as reported by Sports.kz.

The best boxer of the past year was named as Ukrainian heavyweight, unified world champion Oleksandr Usyk. It is worth noting that in 2024, Oleksandr fought twice against Tyson Fury and secured victories by decision.

Additionally, the May bout between Usyk and Fury was recognized as the "Fight of the Year" by the BWAA.

American trainer Robert Garcia was honored as "Trainer of the Year," while Usyk's manager, Egis Klimas, received the title of "Manager of the Year."
