According to the official Telegram channel of Akorda, by the decree of the head of state, Asset Armanovich Irgaliev has been appointed as the chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and he has been relieved of his previous position.
Additionally, as reported on the website of the IPS "Paragraph," Asset Irgaliev was born in 1986 in Kostanay. He graduated from the Kazakh Institute of Management, Economics and Forecasting, the International Business School in Sweden, as well as York University and the University of Nottingham.
He began his career in 2010.
In 2016, he served as an advisor to the chairman of the board of JSC "NUH "Baiterek."
From 2016 to 2018, he was an advisor to the Prime Minister.
In 2018, he became the head of the Project Management Center at the Prime Minister's Office.
From 2018 to 2019, he served as the Deputy Minister of National Economy.
In 2019, he was the Deputy Head of the Prime Minister's Office.
From 2019 to 2021, he was the First Deputy Minister of National Economy.
From 2021 to 2022, he held the position of Minister of National Economy.
From 2022 to 2023, he served as the chairman of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms.
From 2023 to 2024, he was an assistant to the president on economic issues.
In May 2024, he became the permanent representative of Kazakhstan to the World Trade Organization and international economic organizations.
Also, by the decree of the head of state, the former head of the agency, Zhandos Shaimardanov, has been relieved of his position. He held the post of chairman of the Agency since September 2023.
