During the bilateral talks between Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the head of the Croatian Government, which took place on the sidelines of COP29 in Baku in November this year, the parties discussed further steps aimed at strengthening political dialogue and expanding business ties between the two countries.
In particular, the Minister informed his counterpart about the institutional political and socio-economic reforms in Kazakhstan initiated by the Head of State. It was emphasized that the measures being implemented contribute to creating favorable conditions for opening and conducting business in our country.
M. Nurtleu invited Croatian companies to establish and develop trade and investment partnerships with Kazakhstan, highlighting promising sectors such as energy, transport and logistics, agriculture, information technology, education, and tourism.
In this context, both parties expressed a common view that enhancing business ties should be supported by the work of the Kazakh-Croatian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation and the Business Council "Kazakhstan-Croatia," with the next meetings planned to be held in Astana in 2025.
For his part, A. Plenković confirmed the mutual desire to strengthen political dialogue and mutually beneficial partnership between Astana and Zagreb, based on trust and mutual support.
As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue constructive interaction between the two countries, including through the organization and conduct of visits at the highest and high levels.
