Astana welcomed a distinguished guest: Putin's visit began with a cultural exchange.

An honor guard was assembled at the airport in tribute to the distinguished guest.

In a gesture of genuine friendship between the peoples of Kazakhstan and Russia, children waving flags of both countries welcomed President Vladimir Putin and the members of the official delegation, and recited poems.

Following this, professional artist Asel Sabyrzhankyzy (Assol) presented her painting to the heads of state, which she began creating upon Vladimir Putin's departure to Astana. She invited the heads of state to take part in the painting process. The artwork will be gifted to the Russian President at the conclusion of his visit.
