"The Embassy of Austria is pleased to introduce the newly appointed Ambassador of Austria to the Republic of Kazakhstan - Her Excellency Andrea Bacher, who will subsequently present her credentials," it states in the announcement.

The website of the Austrian Embassy in our country indicates that Kazakhstan is the first country in Central Asia with which Austria established diplomatic relations (February 19, 1992). Furthermore, to this day, Kazakhstan is the only country in the region where Austria is represented by an embassy (in Astana) and a trade section of the Embassy (in Almaty).
