Bektenov: The government is preparing to reform budgetary, tax, and tariff policies.

According to the Telegram channel of the RK government, the relevant statement was made by Bektenov during a government meeting.

He mentioned that, in line with the tasks set by the president, the economic bloc of the government is working alongside a group of experts on new approaches to reforming budgetary, tax, and tariff policies.

"In an interview with the newspaper 'Ana tіlі', the president emphasized that the government's task is to ensure the country's economic growth and improve the welfare of its citizens.

We must ensure intensive economic growth. In this regard, under the leadership of Serik Makashevich (Zhumangarin – editor's note), the economic bloc of the government is collaborating with a group of experts to develop new approaches to reforming budgetary, tax, and tariff policies, which will also impact the social security sector.

The mentioned approaches will be presented soon after detailed discussions with the expert community," Bektenov emphasized.

Recall that earlier in an interview, Tokayev was asked if he was satisfied with the work of the ministers over the past year, as it has been 11 months since the current government was formed. In response, the president highlighted that the main task of the government is to ensure economic growth and improve citizens' welfare.

"In general, the Cabinet of Ministers is coping with this. Over the past year, good results have been achieved in diversifying the economy, developing the manufacturing sector, and modernizing infrastructure. However, there are also problematic issues. I constantly demand more effective work and bold decision-making from the ministers," Tokayev shared.

He also announced an extended government meeting where the results of the year will be summarized, and all current issues will be addressed.
