A fighter with one knockout has declared himself the top striker in the division, Shavkat Rakhmonov, in the UFC.

The champion UFC Belal Muhammad expressed confidence in his victory in the upcoming fight, as reported by Sports.kz referencing Sport24.ru.

The holder of the welterweight title will defend his championship at UFC 315 against Jack Della Maddalena.

“Will we fight standing up? That depends on whether he can keep up with me in boxing. I am the best striker in the welterweight division. I’m also the best grappler and wrestler. I’m the top fighter in the division.

Leon Edwards was considered an outstanding fighter after his knockout victory over Kamaru Usman. Yet, I defeated Leon without much trouble. So, I will win easily in the May fight,” Muhammad stated at the press conference.

It is worth noting that alongside Muhammad, the division includes Kazakhstan's Shavkat Rakhmonov, Leon Edwards, Joaquin Buckley, Stephen Thompson, and Michael Page. Additionally, Muhammad has scored a knockout in only one of his last 17 fights.
