The Olympic bronze medalist has turned her back on Kazakhstan.
Bronze medalist of the 2016 Olympics, Galbadrach Ogtsetseg, has renounced her citizenship of Kazakhstan, according to "Sport Shredinger," citing 1bol.kz.

At the 2020 Olympics, Otgontsestseg lost in the first round and subsequently ended her career. She later returned to Mongolia.
Now, 32-year-old Otgontsestseg is working as a coach. In December, she renounced her Kazakhstani citizenship and applied to regain her native citizenship.
In the 48 kg weight class, Otgontsestseg replaced Abiba Abuzhikanova, who finished fifth at the 2024 Olympics.
