After leaving the Kazakhstan national team, Cherchesov has made a decision regarding his future.

— Which resignation in your career has been the most disappointing? — Cherchesov was asked. — When did you feel, “Damn, this isn’t right”? — There are different kinds of departures. “Spartak” bought me from “Tirol,” “Dynamo” acquired me from “Amkar,” and my contract with “Legia” ended without renewal. In Hungary, it’s a different story, and there are unique tales with the national teams of Russia and Kazakhstan. But generally speaking, if a coach hasn’t been dismissed at least once, then he’s not really a coach yet. (He smiles.) When a young colleague gets let go, I call to congratulate them, saying, “Now you’re a real coach.” Sometimes these experiences help you grow and can even motivate you in a positive way, pushing you to focus on results.
After leaving the Kazakhstan national team, Cherchesov has made a decision regarding his future.

Former head coach of the Kazakhstan national team Stanislav Cherchesov shared his preferences regarding a new job in an interview with "SE," as reported by Sports.kz.

— Which resignation in your career was the most disappointing? — Cherchesov is asked. — When did you feel like, damn, that wasn't fair?
— Departures can happen in various ways. "Spartak" bought me out from "Tirol," "Dynamo" from "Amkar," my contract with "Legia" ended and I chose not to extend it. In Hungary, there is a different story, and in the national teams of Russia and Kazakhstan, there are their own. But in general, if a coach has never been fired at least once, then he is not really a coach yet. (Smiles.) When one of my younger colleagues gets removed, I call to congratulate them, saying, now you’re a real coach. Sometimes these experiences also help you grow and can frustrate you in a good way, focusing you on results.

— You have extensive experience both with national teams and clubs. What is currently more preferable?
— What matters is the kind of tasks that will be set for me and my staff—that's the main thing. But everywhere, some time is needed. For example, ask any specialist—sometimes two months of winter training camps and a handful of friendly matches are not enough to start achieving results. And when you need to win against Norway or Austria after just two training sessions... How to accomplish that is something that cannot be explained in any coaching course—you can only understand it through personal experience.

— Is your priority Russia or abroad?
— I would like to work in my own country or, at the very least, somewhere where Russian is spoken.
