The Minister of Energy discussed in the corridors of the Mazhilis the factors that could lead to an increase in fuel prices in Kazakhstan, as reported by Bizmedia.kz.
Satkaliev shared insights on the future of fuel prices in Kazakhstan.

“Currently, our market is experiencing a shortage. To address this deficit and ensure energy independence, modernization is underway. To carry out this modernization, appropriate funding is required,” said Satkaliev.

According to him, future prices for petroleum products will also reflect the loans taken out for purchasing equipment, maintenance, operational costs, logistics, and the construction of new pipeline and railway infrastructure.

“It is clear that this will impact the base price of petroleum products. The specifics will largely depend on the domestic oil prices. At present, we can say that our domestic market has the lowest prices compared to neighboring countries; the prices for petroleum products are the lowest. If the market opens up, all our cheap products will disappear,” summarized the Minister of Energy.
