In the opening match of the Asian Games, the Kyrgyzstan national team defeated Kuwait in overtime with a score of 9:8, reports Sports.kz citing Shaiba.kz.

Former "Almaty" player Mamed Seyfulov, who plays for the Kyrgyzstan national team, scored a hat trick and provided an assist in this match.

Kyrgyzstan is competing in Group "B" at the Asian Games. The team that finishes in first place will advance to the quarterfinals, where they will face teams from Group "A": Kazakhstan, China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.
