During the meeting, the main directions of analytical work and key activities of the institute for 2025 were outlined. In particular, the activities of KISI will focus on studying domestic political processes and economic development trends in Kazakhstan, as well as defining the contours of the foreign policy situation. Additionally, the institute's work will be directed towards developing new areas such as database formation and expanding the network of regional representations.
Erlan Karin, in his speech, noted that the general agenda of state policy for the current year was set by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his now traditional January interview.
The State Advisor emphasized the leading role of KISI in providing expert-analytical support for the implemented state policy. In particular, in preparing proposals in the field of regional development, working on further economic reforms, analyzing global geopolitical trends, and addressing other relevant and in-demand areas. Furthermore, the role of the institute's experts in clarifying the goals and objectives of both external and internal policy is considered important, both within the expert community and among the general public.
Erlan Karin stressed that KISI, as the country's main think tank, is a key player in establishing international partnerships with foreign analytical organizations.
