"In recent days, we have been learning more and more shocking details about the activities of USAID - the United States Agency for International Development. An official statement from the White House claims that USAID has been funding, I quote, "malicious projects" for decades.
Elon Musk and even President Donald Trump have referred to USAID as a criminal organization run by "deranged radicals." The White House's official statements specifically assert that the USAID agency has allocated vast sums of money for "absurd" and "harmful" projects," stated Deputy Mageramov.
He added that USAID provided $47,000 for a "transgender opera" in Colombia, $32,000 for a "transgender comic" in Peru, $6 million for tourism funding in Egypt, $2 million for "gender reassignment" and "LGBT activism" in Guatemala, $1.5 million for promoting equality and inclusivity in workplaces and business communities in Serbia, and hundreds of millions of dollars to support opium poppy cultivation and heroin production in Afghanistan. The deputy also noted that the organization sent hundreds of thousands of food packages to "Al-Qaeda" militants.
"Regarding our region, from 2022 to 2025, USAID allocated $2 million to strengthen human rights and equality in Central Asia. Everything would be fine, but the program is executed by the European International Association of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgenders, and Intersex persons. This is an organization that implements U.S. government-sponsored programs in Kazakhstan," Deputy Mageramov stated.
He added that it is necessary to investigate what funds and for which projects USAID has directed in Kazakhstan. In his opinion, women's marches and pride parades in Almaty are a result of this organization's activities.
"This concerns the funding of ideologies foreign to us, imposed under the guise of human rights, which in reality corrupt our youth and younger generations.
We also believe it is essential for the Ministry of Justice, and the government as a whole, to develop a legislative proposal that ensures the protection and psycho-emotional, mental, and physical safety of our children from such harmful "sponsored" projects. We need to put an end to this in Kazakhstan," the deputy stated.
It is worth noting that recently the media reported that U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the Agency for International Development (USAID) is run by "deranged radicals." Subsequently, without explanation, the USAID website was taken down, and the account of USAID disappeared from X, the social network owned by Elon Musk. Elon Musk himself posted on X, calling USAID a criminal organization.
Soon, Elon Musk again criticized the U.S. Agency for International Development and accused them of funding the development of a virus that causes COVID-19 infection.
Additionally, it was noted that at the end of January, Donald Trump signed an order to suspend any new U.S. assistance to foreign countries for three months.
Previously, it was mentioned that Trump expressed his intention to focus on U.S. issues during his presidency and to conduct foreign policy under the slogan "America First."
