Fans of the Kazakhstan national team received great news following the appointment of a new head coach.

Former national team player Evgeny Averchenko shared his thoughts with Sports.kz regarding the appointment of Ali Aliyev as the acting head coach of the Kazakhstan national team.

— The Kazakhstan national team should have been led by a local specialist. Aliyev is a young coach with experience in the Premier League. He has a good understanding of Kazakh football and has seen all the players in person. Aliyev is quite capable of achieving success. At the very least, it definitely won't get worse, — said the expert.

It is worth noting that Aliyev's coaching career includes stints at “Ordabasy”, “Kyzylzhar”, “Shakhtar”, the youth team of “Astana”, and “Zhenis”.

Aliyev's assistants in the Kazakhstan national team will be former national team players Nurbol Jumaskaliev and Yeldos Akhmetov.
