The film "We Need a Doctor" will kick off the XVII Eurasia International Film Festival.

At the heart of the story is Dr. Nikolai Anatolyevich Grachev, who is celebrating his 70th birthday. His colleagues, patients, and the hospital administration are preparing a warm and heartfelt celebration for him. However, beneath the surface of the festivities lies a complex truth about human relationships, moral dilemmas, and life lessons. Events unfold unpredictably, allowing the audience to immerse themselves in the lives of the medical team and experience their challenging yet genuine moments.

“We Need a Doctor” is more than just a story about a physician. It is a film about the people who save lives every day, face dilemmas, and strive to remain true to their principles in a world full of change. Here, everyone will find something relatable: kindness, pain, hope, and, of course, faith in the strength of the human spirit.

“A musical comedy inspired by the title of an old classic. This is a Broadway-style musical because we don’t just have songs; the songs advance the plot. Each song is significant and pushes the story forward. I haven't seen such films in Kazakhstan,” said the film's director, Ravil Trumov.

The film is the result of the work of masters of Kazakh cinema. Screenplay authors: Askar Bisembin, Saken Toktagulov, Meirman Abdrayimov, Ravil Trumov. Directors: Ravil Trumov, Askar Bisembin.
