The foreign ministers of Kazakhstan and the UK have agreed to enhance dialogue between their countries.

At the initiative of the British side, a phone conversation took place between Murat Nurtleu, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and David Lammy, the UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, as reported by DKnews.kz.

The parties discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, welcoming the progressive strengthening of relations between Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom in the spirit of strategic partnership. Special attention was given to the further development of political dialogue and trade-economic interaction, investment issues, as well as educational projects.

The ministers emphasized the importance of the upcoming 8th meeting of the Kazakh-British Strategic Dialogue, which serves as one of the effective platforms for discussing key aspects of the bilateral and multilateral agenda and formulating new initiatives to deepen mutually beneficial partnership between Astana and London.

The heads of foreign affairs agencies confirmed their mutual interest in consolidating efforts for the further development of Kazakh-British relations.
