As a result of the conducted activities, 3,216 individuals were held accountable for violations in the border zone.
Among them, 18 foreign nationals illegally entered the country, and another 8 individuals were apprehended while attempting to cross the border without the necessary permits.
During this time, border service personnel prevented 1,552 attempts to illegally import various goods.
There were 33 cases of drug smuggling identified, including 800 liters of precursors used for their production. Additionally, 71 violations related to the illegal transport of weapons and ammunition were detected. Among the confiscated items were: 4 firearms, 1 flare gun, 135 pieces of cold steel weapons, 1 grenade, 50 rounds of ammunition, and 13 stun guns.
A further attempt to smuggle 29 batches of undeclared religious books, totaling 555 copies, was intercepted at the border.
The border guards recorded 638 cases of fuel smuggling, with a total volume exceeding 54,000 liters. The value of the confiscated goods is estimated at over 20 million tenge.
Smugglers also attempted to transport consumer goods worth more than 3.7 billion tenge and undeclared currency totaling over 1.6 billion tenge.
In the Caspian Sea area, 7 cases of illegal fishing were thwarted.
During operations, 4 watercraft, 13.6 kilometers of nets, and 87 sturgeon fish, weighing a total of 522.3 kilograms, were seized from poachers.
According to estimates, the damage that was avoided is valued at approximately 205 million tenge.
All materials regarding the identified violations have been forwarded to law enforcement agencies and courts for further investigation.
