A new president has been elected for the National Sports Association of Kazakhstan.

On February 1, 2025, an extraordinary general meeting of the National Association of National Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place, during which its president was elected, as reported by Sports.kz referencing Zakon.kz.

Before the voting for the Association's leadership, the current president Islambek Salzhanov summarized the work done over the past two years, presenting a detailed report.

“Subsequently, the founders unanimously approved a new charter and elected a new president, who is Erkebulan Saidullauly Ilyasov,” states the official announcement from the press service of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In his speech, the newly elected president outlined the priority areas of the Association's activities and presented plans for 2025.

“Serik Zharasbayev, Deputy Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, expressed gratitude to Islambek Salzhanov for his contributions to the development of national sports and wished success to the newly elected president. He emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between federations and highlighted the necessity of collaborative efforts to promote national sports on the international stage.”

Erkebulan Saidullauly Ilyasov is the chairman of the Board of Directors of Alageum Electric LLP, president of the national sports federations “Jamby Atu” and “Arkan Tarty”, and the founder and initiator of the National Sports Support Fund “Ұлттық спорт қоры.”
