Kazakhstan and Luxembourg are strengthening their bilateral trade relations.

Kazakhstan's Ambassador Margulan Baymukhan made an official visit to Luxembourg, where he held separate meetings with Pierre Ferring, the head of the Directorate of Foreign Trade and Investment Promotion at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Grand Duchy; Jean Tonner, the Director of the Tourism Directorate at the Ministry of Tourism; and Barbara Zech, the Director of the International Department at the Ministry of Culture. He also spoke with Tania Tenin, the Director of External Relations for the Luxembourg Parliament, as reported by DKnews.kz.
Kazakhstan and Luxembourg are strengthening their bilateral trade relations.

During the meeting with P. Ferringer, positive dynamics in bilateral relations in the areas of trade and investment were noted. The significant role of Luxembourg as a key investor in the Kazakh economy was also emphasized.

The Luxembourg diplomat highlighted our country's important position in Central Asia and underscored the high potential of Kazakhstan's economy in transportation, green energy, and other sectors. P. Ferringer specifically pointed out Luxembourg's interest in expanding mutually beneficial relations between the economic entities of both countries.

During discussions with representatives from the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Tourism of Luxembourg, the possibilities of jointly organizing cultural events in Kazakhstan and Luxembourg were explored, along with cooperation within international organizations. Special attention was given to potential joint initiatives in the areas of digitalization, MICE, active tourism, and more.

Representatives from the Luxembourg side expressed their interest in enhancing cooperation in the fields of culture and tourism and expressed their readiness to assist in organizing Kazakhstan-Luxembourg events.

The conversation with T. Tenina focused on strengthening inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two countries. An agreement was reached to work on the exchange of visits between the parliamentarians of both nations.

For the first nine months of 2024, the volume of direct foreign investments from Luxembourg to Kazakhstan reached 472.3 million US dollars.
