During his visit to Islamabad, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Alibek Bakayev, conducted the third round of bilateral political consultations with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Ahmed Naseem Warraich.

During the consultations, the parties discussed a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda, highlighting the positive dynamics in the development of cooperation across various sectors, particularly in trade, economy, and transport logistics. They emphasized the importance of further strengthening political dialogue, inter-parliamentary relations, and enhancing collaboration in the field of security. Special attention was given to cooperation in education, culture, tourism, and sports.

In the negotiations, the parties also exchanged views on current international agenda issues and regional events, asserting the importance of further enhancing collaboration within multilateral organizations.

As part of his visit, A. Bakayev also met with the heads of key federal agencies of Pakistan. In particular, he held discussions with the Federal Minister for Industry and Production, the Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, the First Deputy Minister – Federal Secretary for Economic Affairs, Kazim Niyas, and the First Deputy Minister – Federal Secretary for Trade, Javad Paul Khawaja.

During the meetings, the parties addressed cooperation in agriculture, issues related to increasing bilateral trade, and substantive preparations for the 13th meeting of the Kazakhstan-Pakistan Intergovernmental Commission, as well as underscored the importance of strengthening the legal framework to create favorable conditions for interaction between Kazakh and Pakistani entrepreneurs.

Additionally, a roundtable was organized during the visit on the topic of “Business Investment Opportunities in Kazakhstan in the Context of Trade and Economic Cooperation with Pakistan,” featuring representatives from major businesses and leaders of trade and industrial chambers from leading cities in Pakistan.

In his welcoming speech, A. Bakayev spoke about the investment climate and business opportunities in Kazakhstan, urging Pakistani businesses to actively establish and develop cooperation with the business circles of Kazakhstan.

The Managing Director of JSC “NC “Kazakh Invest,” Azamat Kozhanov, presented specific sectors of Kazakhstan's economy that are of the greatest interest to Pakistani entrepreneurs.
