The head of state highlighted the progressive development of Kazakh-Turkmen relations across all areas, emphasizing friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership.

During the conversation, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Turkmenistan on the commencement of the International Year of Peace and Trust, initiated by Ashgabat, which coincides with the 30th anniversary of the country's positive neutrality.

Noting the significant importance of Turkmenistan's peacekeeping initiatives, the head of our state expressed Kazakhstan's readiness to continue providing comprehensive support for their successful implementation.

The two countries actively maintain a high dynamic of economic interaction, addressing relevant issues of mutual interest in a constructive manner.

In turn, Rashid Meredov conveyed warm greetings from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov to the President of Kazakhstan.

According to the diplomat, Kazakh-Turkmen cooperation is of a strategic nature and has solid and long-term prospects. In this context, the Turkmen delegation reaffirmed Ashgabat's commitment to further enhancing cooperation with Astana across the entire spectrum of intergovernmental relations.

The interlocutors discussed the progress of implementing previously reached high-level agreements in the energy, transit-transport, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
