Holders of valid travel documents are now exempt from the requirement to obtain a visa for single or multiple entries, exits, transit, or temporary stay in another country for up to 90 days within each 180-day period from the date of first entry. This provision applies without prejudice to the requirements of the Schengen Agreement regarding multiple entries and exits from its member states.
For citizens of Kazakhstan, the 90-day stay is counted from the date of their first entry into the Schengen area.
Valid travel documents include:
- for Kazakhstan: passport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, diplomatic passport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, service passport of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- for San Marino: passport of the Republic of San Marino, diplomatic passport of the Republic of San Marino, service passport of the Republic of San Marino.
Citizens planning to stay in another country for more than 90 days must obtain the appropriate visa in advance, including any permits required by the laws of the host country.
The provisions of the Schengen Agreement governing entry into San Marino will also be observed.
The regulation comes into effect on the day it is signed.
