Experts believe that the increase in the number of flights is linked to the expansion of the aviation network, the development of infrastructure, and a high level of flight safety.
Currently, Kazakhstani airlines operate 104 aircraft, but by the end of this year, the number is expected to rise to 118 planes.
Last year saw the completion of new passenger terminals in Almaty, Kyzylorda, and Shymkent. Additionally, renovation work was carried out on the runways of 8 airports across the country.
International air traffic is also actively developing.
In the past year, Kazakhstan launched and resumed 22 international routes.
Among the new destinations are flights from Almaty to Mumbai, Phu Quoc, and El Alamein, as well as from Astana to Phuket, Sihanoukville, and Phu Quoc. Furthermore, flights to Baku, Seoul, Prague, Beijing, and Abu Dhabi have become available again.
In terms of aviation safety, Kazakhstan ranks alongside leading European nations, with a safety indicator of 82% that meets ICAO requirements.
Today, more than 25,000 people work in the country's aviation sector.
