According to her, the agreement has already been drafted and sent for discussion and approval to the Korean side. However, the process has been slightly delayed due to a change in leadership at the Ministry of Labor of South Korea.

“Just last month, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan held negotiations in South Korea with their Minister of Labor. The parties continue to work on the document. We expect that the agreement will be finalized by the end of this year,” explained Jakupova.

Once the memorandum is officially approved, Kazakhs will have the opportunity to work legally in South Korea. “Absolutely,” the minister assured when asked about employment prospects.
