Kazakhstan citizens will soon be able to enter another country without a visa.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has initiated the development of a draft government resolution titled "On the Approval of the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco on the Exemption from Visa Requirements for Holders of National/General Passports."

The draft resolution has been posted on the "Open NPA" portal.

"The adoption of this draft will foster close cooperation between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kingdom of Morocco by establishing mutual exemption from visa requirements for holders of national/general passports," it is noted in the explanatory note to the document.

The draft document is open for public discussion until January 10, 2025.

It is worth recalling that last summer it was reported that Kazakhstan and Morocco were considering an agreement on mutual exemption from visa requirements for their citizens.

At that time, it was stated that citizens of either party would be exempted from visa requirements for entry, exit, transit, and temporary stay in the territory of the other party based on valid national/general passports, provided that the duration of each stay does not exceed 30 calendar days within a 180-day period from the date of entry.

Additionally, in October 2024, the Agreement on Mutual Exemption from Visa Requirements between Kazakhstan and the SAR of Macau came into effect, according to NUR.KZ, citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

On November 20, 2024, the government approved a previously concluded agreement with Saint Kitts and Nevis regarding visa exemption for short-term trips.

In July of last year, we reported that Kazakh citizens would continue to visit Thailand without a visa: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan prepared the corresponding draft agreement with the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand.

A complete list of countries for which Kazakhstan has a visa-free regime is published on the official website of the "Electronic Government."
