The Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan has approved a new standard for the food service sector, including food delivery. These standards will come into effect on January 1, 2025.
“The implementation of this standard will ensure transparency and unification of requirements in the food delivery market, enhance consumer trust in the services provided, and contribute to strengthening the food security system in the Republic of Kazakhstan,” noted the committee chair, Zhanna Esenbekova.
The committee clarifies that now, according to the new standard, couriers must possess a personal medical book of the established form with a mark indicating the completion of medical examinations, and undergo professional hygiene training.
Additionally, couriers are required to adhere to commonly accepted norms and rules of conduct.
“Furthermore, when delivering food products to consumers at the location specified in the order and at pickup points, there must be an opportunity to inspect the products in the orders to identify any external damage to the packaging during transportation,” the Ministry of Trade and Integration stated.
