Manager Egis Klimas has been named the best manager of 2024 by the American Boxing Writers Association (BWAA), according to Sports.kz.

Klimas’s primary client at the moment is the world heavyweight champion from Ukraine, Oleksandr Usyk. Additionally, Klimas represents boxers such as Vasyl Lomachenko, Zhanibek Alimkhanuly, Meirim Nursultanov, and others.

Usyk received the top honor — the "Fighter of the Year" award named after Sugar Ray Robinson from the BWAA. It’s worth noting that last year, Oleksandr Usyk fought twice against British boxer Tyson Fury, winning both matches (by split and unanimous decision).

The BWAA-2024 Trainer of the Year award went to Robert Garcia.
