The Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Madiyar Menilbekov, met with the Chairman of the Consultative Council of Saudi Arabia, Abdallah bin Muhammad Al Al-Sheikh.
During the meeting, key areas of cooperation in the inter-parliamentary sphere were discussed, along with opportunities for further development.
M. Menilbekov shared insights on the political and socio-economic reforms being implemented in Kazakhstan, highlighting that a significant aspect of the partnership between the two countries is the regular enhancement of inter-parliamentary dialogue, which plays a crucial role in political interaction and serves as a foundation for strengthening trust between the states.
Additionally, the Kazakh diplomat expressed gratitude to his counterpart and representatives of the Kingdom for their support of the initiatives of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions, their active participation in the preparation of the Congress's final documents, and their contribution to promoting the ideas and values of inter-religious harmony.
In turn, A. Al Al-Sheikh briefly outlined the working mechanism of the Council and its legislative and supervisory role, emphasizing that Kazakhstan is one of Saudi Arabia's key political and economic partners in Central Asia. The two countries have established close contacts, including at the highest levels. He praised the reforms being carried out in Kazakhstan and stressed the importance of further expanding cooperation between the two nations, including through inter-parliamentary channels.
