A new deputy head has been appointed for the Atyrau region's police department.

Colonel of Police Erlan Bigambaev has been appointed as the Deputy Head of the Atyrau Region Police Department, reports NUR.KZ, citing the regional police department.

According to the official account of the agency on Instagram, following the order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Sadenov, Colonel of Police Erlan Valeryevich Bigambaev has been appointed as the Deputy Head of the Police Department of Atyrau Region.

Erlan Bigambaev was born in Atyrau. He began his service in the internal affairs bodies in 2002 and has held several leadership positions.

Prior to his new appointment, Erlan Bigambaev was the head of the local police service management of the Police Department of Atyrau Region.

Earlier, the new head was appointed to the Police Department of Kyzylorda Region. Colonel of Police Serik Yergeshov took this position. He has significant experience in leadership roles and previously served as the Deputy Head of the Police Department of Shymkent.

In Almaty Region, Colonel of Police Askat Bekenov has taken the position of head of the police management of the Talgar District. Before this appointment, he worked as the Deputy Head of the Criminal Police Department of Almaty.
