Nuralhan Kushev has been appointed head of the Turkestan region.

Nuralkhan Oralbaevich Kusherov was born on December 20, 1984, in the city of Shymkent. He holds a higher education degree. In 2005, he graduated from South Kazakhstan State University named after M. Auezov. In 2007, he completed his studies at the Kazakh Humanities and Law University. His qualifications include: economist, finance and credit, jurisprudence.

He began his professional career in 2005 as an accountant-inspector at LLP "Bereke" in Shymkent. Over the years, he has served as an assistant to a deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, acting expert at the Department for Improving Tax Legislation of the Tax Committee of the Ministry of Finance; chief specialist at the Department of Tax Audits for Legal Entities of the Tax Administration for the Esil District of the Tax Department for the city of Astana; head of the State Revenue Administration for the Esil District of the State Revenue Department for the city of Astana; deputy akim of the city of Shymkent; and head of the State Revenue Department for the Atyrau Region of the Committee for State Revenues. Since January 2023, he has held the position of deputy akim of the Turkestan Region.
