Bank CentrCredit has suspended dollar transactions at its ATMs until the end of January 2025. This was reported by the business information center Kapital.kz.
“ATM services for withdrawing, depositing, and exchanging dollars are temporarily unavailable at Bank CentrCredit. The resumption of these services is planned for January 31, 2025. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding,” the bank's website states.
The bank commented to Kapital.kz on the reasons behind this decision.
“The bank has temporarily halted dollar transactions at ATMs due to technical work aimed at enhancing their security,” noted BCK PR Director Saken Nigmashev.
Previously, Bank CentrCredit had planned to resume the aforementioned operations on January 15, 2025.
According to the National Bank, as of December 1, 2024, Bank CentrCredit's assets exceeded 6.6 trillion tenge, with equity capital at 601.3 billion tenge and profits at 177.1 billion tenge. According to KASE, as of October 1, 2024, 40.11% of the bank's shares are owned by Bakytbek Bayseitov, and 9.23% by Vladislav Li. The remaining shares are held by minority shareholders.
