A survey on time zone changes has been launched in the eGov mobile app.

The survey became available on November 21, 2024. To participate, you need to open the app, go to the "Notifications" tab, and select the "Surveys/Questionnaires" section.

In this section, they ask how comfortable you are with the current time zone, whether you would prefer to change the clocks or return to the previous time format, and even how the time change might affect your daily life—such as attending the gym.

As a reminder, on November 20, it was announced that 160 million tenge will be allocated to study the impact of the time change on the people of Kazakhstan. The Minister of Science and Higher Education, Sayasat Nurbek, stated:

“Regarding the study of the time zone. The application has been submitted for a three-year budget of 160 million tenge, but in reality, it will be less, I think, at least by half, around 90-100 million. Why? Because we will announce a competition now. The meeting of the highest scientific and technical commission was held just yesterday. We will announce the competition, and the national scientific council will determine the actual cost,” said Sayasat Nurbek.

According to him, scientists will conduct applied research.
